Keeping control of projects
What was wrong
The client was lacking the crucial real time reporting that could identify when a project was heading off the rails. Lags of up to several weeks meant by the time an issue was spotted, the damage was done.
What we did
We took the client’s basic SQL database environment and created views and aggregation feeding into a more advanced data model that allowed project phases to be seen alongside each other in a consistent visual format.
Why it mattered
Using Power BI, the management team now have an at-hand view on the performance of all of their projects, allowing them to curb scope creep and budget overruns through real-time visuals and custom notification triggers.
